Im trying to sell my car and I just realized I cant find my car title. What should I do and does it cost alot to get it replaced?

go to dmv and have a new one issues . . it might cost around 20 or 25 dollars.

Go to you local DMV and fill out the forms for another Title. Should cost about $20.00 depending on what state your in. Good luck.

go to google.com
type in car title
press enter

on the right side of the screen is a list of stuff and there
is a link that says lost car title.. click on it and follow it

You can go to your local licensing place and get an affidavit of lost title. I had to and it cost less than $20.

go to DMV, get a special form that is a combination of bill of sale and application for duplicate title. Fill it out. Have buyer fill in all his/her info and take it back to the DMV, with smog certification.

It works best if you AND the buyer go together, then you can do it all in one trip. (get smog cert first)

You can apply for a lost title at the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. In ILL. I believe its $75. They will need your vehicle registration.

DMV has forms for lost titles... it'll cost a pretty penny but it's worth it.

Go to the BMV, tell them you lost the title, apply for a new one. Cost is about $15.00.
