Get your hands really moist with disposable towelettes. No one likes holding hands with someone with a moisture problem.

Do what you feel is authentic to you. Sometimes it's okay to do things for people because they seem to need the affection, but it isn't okay to do it all the time just because it's expected - or because someone is insecure. You might get a reaction if you don't but you can still be firm yet gentle in your approach. If that doesn't work, maybe it's time to move on. Many times in relationships, neediness can show up with what seems to be small things and then really escalate to very very crazy things. So, just watch how much you involve yourself in it. You can't be a replacement for a security blanket for the rest of your life.

I think you are one lucky girl that you have a boyfriend who likes to hold hands. I just saw a program yesterday that said that holding hands is a sign of true affection and also it is very good for one's health. It tends to lower blood pressure. I don't know why you don't like to hold hands, unless you don't really like Danny that much. Holding hands also shows that "she is mine" and maybe you don't like that. If so, you might want to reconsider the relationship.

Tell him there are other ways for him to show his affection....and then tell him which ones you are comfortable with. Maybe he just doesn't know. A lot of guys don't...you have to tell them how to do everything!
