Call your local DMV and ask for the package you can use for an abandone car. No for sure what it cost in your state. Fill all the paper work out, send it backin, then wait. Be patient as you know at the DMV no one is in a hurry. Whoever left the car there will have to pay you for storage or you get the car.

You can go to the DMV and ask for the papers to file a lien sale on the car. The packet of papers cost about $10.00, but it has everything you need and all the information on how to do it legally. After about thirty days, if the owner doesnt pay you for storage for the past 2 years, then the DMV will issue you the title of ownership. You have to do through DMV for it to be legal.

Do you have any agreement with the idiot that says they have the right to have the car on your yard? If not just push it out on the street and let it be impounded.

Depends on the laws for your state or country. But you can start charging storage from the day you told him to come and get it, and get the title in lieu of that money. Look up the storage laws for your area, or ask the local tow company, they would know.

Do you know the idiot? Contact him/her and give them 48 hrs to come get it. No response, pull it into the street and report it. It will be impounded and towed away for good.

Remove license plates it it still has them. Push it into the street. Call the police and tell them there is an abandoned vehicle and you would like them to get it removed.

Why not just have it towed? You might want to check to see if the registration has been renewed, it it is unregistered then contact the police and it can be towed.
