October! I'm getting married next October...the weather is so much better then. Its rains a lot in April and barely rains in October where I live. Plus, fall colors are so rich and beautiful! Congrats!

I got married on October last year, I was in the same situation then you are right now, I didn't know what to choose between May or October, but I decided for October better because in spring there are a lot of people with the "seasonal" allergy because of the pollen.

You may have been misled. October is a very busy month for weddings. Alot of people enjoy fall weddings because the weather is nice and the warm colors that can be used. Either one would be great. I am getting married in August of 2007 mainly because my reception venue was booked up every other Sarturday of the year. What are your colors? I am using black and white with red and white roses.

Some questions:
Depends on where you live. Which month has better weather?
Of the people on your guest list, are more likely to be gone in April (Spring Break) or anxious in October (pre-holiday season)?
Oh! April might get you better gifts - tax return season!!!!

I love fall weddings. The rich, warm colors are gorgeous and make great pictures. I love the colors burgundy and cream or Burgundy, burnt orange and chocolate. They make all kinds of great Fall themed products now for weddings too. Check out www.customweddingsolutions.com and check out their Fall Theme page. I say go with October. Of course it is completely up to you...its our wedding after all.
Congrats!

Well, you know what they say about April showers...:o)....but if it's inside, that shouldn't be a problem.
Personally, I would go with October....just because I love that month when the leaves are changing and it's so pretty. But depending on where you live, that may not even happen!

October! As you've said, there are definitely more color options and flowers. Plus, as it is "off-season" you're bound to get better deals and prices (don't forget to ask though!) on different things.

In most places it will get darker earlier in October, making it harder to get outdoor pictures.
I vote for April, but stay away from April Fool's Day.
