If an std is present outside of the body, how long does it last for, like what happens once ejaculation is outside the body in general, does it die off and become germs or does it die like sperm when exposed to air or different temperatures?

K, example, if a guy were to ejaculate onto something, and a week later, is it still possible to be infectious?

That depends on which STD we are talking about. Some are the result of a virus, some are the result of bacteria and then some are a result of a visible nasty little bug. So it varies widley.

Bacterial infections can be cleared up with either creams or antibiotics.

Viruses can not be cured AT ALL. You have them for life or you may be lucky and they will go into remission.

Crabs can be cured like lice - with a special shampoo and a little comb.

Be careful and always protect yourself. There are a ton of nasty STD's out there - so ALWAYS use a condom!

::EDIT::

To answer your question, if a guy ejaculated in a cup - and the cup was still around (untouched) a week later, then the chances of getting infected from it are slim. There are some viruses that can live outside of the body for weeks, but most STD's can not. HIV, for example can only live outside the body for a few hours. So you should be OK - just throw away your unused sperm cups next time... :)

it depends on the STD-
a very common one, HPV, is a skin disease and is passed through skin-to-skin contact or contaminated bodily fluides. for example, even if you're using condoms, the virus can get on his scrotum where the condom does not cover.

when he ejaculates outside your body, like on you or something, i'm pretty sure you're safe due to temperature changes, but don't quote me on that one.
