Don't say Jesus is God, because he isn't, in the Bible Jesus worshiped God.

Jesus (pbuh) and his disciples were practising jews. No jew in the history of humanity has said the God of the Torah is part of a trinity. Please research the history of early Christianity. Initially Christians were unitarian...The trinity came about due to the influence of greek and roman methology under the Roman Empire.

Does it not seem strange that NO Prophet in the OT ever mentioned the trinity>?
This is your cue to say..'God said he made man in OUR image'. Dont forget that God is also referred to as HE not THEY. The Queen of England refers to herself as WE...its to show importance.

Early christians did believe in the Trinity and there is a fairly lengthy case for the Trinity. If not the Trinity who is God talking to when God said let's make man in our image? You pose a question and never answer it with that. God is referred to as He because He is one God, in three persons. Jesus accepted worship something no other created being who worshiped God allowed. The trinity had not a thing to do with greek or roman mythology. I don't know what early church history you've been researching but it's wrong. Look at Eusubius. look at the ante-nicine fathers.

I and the father are one is to be taken literally look at the passage in context. Just because he used figures of speech doesn't mean you get to decide that anything he said you don't like is a figure of speech, it's just being intellectually dishonest.

We believe there is a mystery to Christ and the doctrine is just a way to try to get "at" that. He was and is worthy to be hailed above all. That is all that really matters about who He is. Now master the Sermon on the Mount and you'll have some credibility to discredit him as mere human, whether you believe he couldn't be more just because it sounds SOOOO ridiculous or not. You see Jesus did not necessarily claim to be God when he accepted or claimed the TITLE "Son of Man" He was claiming worthy of the title because he alone is worthy. Trying to explain his DNA is nonsense for we mere humans. It doesnt have to be literal or factual to be true in a mystical sense and that's all that matters. This is stuff we cant quite put our finger on and thats how it should be...we need to respect the Mystery of God. However, It isn't quite enough to say he was just an exemploray teacher because polite sages dont do and say some of the radically exposive things he did and said in their context.
I don't doubt there may be something to the historical development you cite in addressing the Trinity. I sense you're as analytical as I am and I will tell you, it is easy to get tripped up over symantics. Let's not make the same error the literalists make, only on the opposite extreme. "Lord, help us with our unbelief."

Sorry, but Jesus is God.

1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The man Christ Jesus worshipped God. There is only one God. There is no trinity!

I worship Jesus, so I worship God.

If Jesus isn't God, he was a lying blasphemer and you muslims are wrong to call him a good man/prophet. Notice this exchange between him and the pharisees:

Mat 26:63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. 64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. 65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

Why would the pharisees accuse him of blasphemy if he were claiming to be a man? How is that blasphemy???

PS An OT prophet told us that a child would be called the mighty God:

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

God the father called Jesus God, Jesus Christ Himself implies throughout the bible that He is God, and others in the bible called Him God. All throughout the bible this happens. Why? Because Jesus is God.

Hebrews1:8
But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

Christians worship God and accept Jesus Christ as God's living word.

The trinity (God, the father, and the Holy Spirit) represents oneness and the inter-connectedness between the seen (father)and the unseen (holy spirit), the known(father) and the unknown(holy spirit), with God presiding supremely over both.

the completed theology of the Incarnation and the Trinity has constantly questioned me. i think it has questioned all of us who has quite thought approximately it. many of the quite particular theology around it (from the 4th century) holds little pastime to me. all the uncooked textile is in the hot testomony, and one gets a feeling that there are perplexing paradoxes in contact. The verses you cite emphasize Jesus as a guy and since the Son; others (John 8:fifty 8 & John 10:30 working example) emphasize Jesus's team spirit with the divine. i think that the two perspectives are in a deep experience actual. surely God isn't ordinary for the human strategies to hold close, and that i doubt the apostles could have invented something as intellectually messy like the Trinity for purposes of prevailing converts. i think of this basically the closest we can get to grasping it in this existence. on the different hand, there are aspects of the Gospels that talk lots extra needless to say. Jesus incredibly rose from the ineffective, many human beings testified to this to the element of dying. and many what He asks persons is as sparkling because it is frustrating. working example: Luke 10:25-37 - the stable Samaritan Matthew 18:21-22 - Forgiveness Mark 10:17-31 - finished dedication in the no longer likely journey I completely grasp that lifestyle, i will pass directly to attempting to comprehend the Trinity at a deeper point. Have a reliable day, and peace be with you. extra strategies are on my weblog (link under) in case you're curious.

The Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They all are one. And when the Bible says Jesus is the lamb, that is just a metaphor. May God Bless you : )

John 10:30, does not teach equallity.

"I and the Father are one"

can also be correctly translated:

"I and the Father are one (thing)"

the greek word for one is neutured.

or

"I and the Father are united"

The context shows they are united or one in works.

When the Jews misinterpeted Jesus' words
Jesus pointed to "gods" or human judges (Ps 82:6) not to Jehovah God (Ps 83:18)

Jesus and Jehovah are one just as Paul and Apollos are one at 1 Cor 3:8

We Muslims are very good at Criticizing the Christian faith when we know very little of ours.
The importance of Jesus is the Message he gave us..'Love one another.' Just like the Prophet Mohammad said...'Spread Peace and Love throughout the world."
If Christians and Muslims follow the words of the Mighty Prophets Mohammad and Jesus; (LOVE ) there will be no need to fight against each other.
