Both of you are physically healthy.

It is up to both of you to decide if you're mentally happy with this weight. Things to consider for mental health is your ability to enjoy activities. When you are not happy mentally with your weight, you need to do reality checks. List stuff you like to do. Then stuff you want to do. If for any reason the physical weight gets in the way then you need to adjust your exercise and diet. For example ... if you dream of being a star tennis player but find that the extra weight is keeping you from this goal, then you need to work with your coach & parents and together find solutions.

Beware, you may need your doctors & parents reality check if social pressures (models on TV) entice you to fall into eating disorders.

Health is all in relation. You could be 90 lbs and have a heart condition where an obese person (besides being obese) may have no health conditions. So is your question is your weight appropriate? Can you see your toes? Can you climb a set of stairs and not have to pause before the next set? Medical questions should be directed to medical experts, not people so bored in Iraq that he is answering questions just to get to the next level (by the way, thats me).

I'm 5'1" as well and my doctor says my healthy weight range is between 105 and 128, but I'm 34 years old. Since you're both only 13, you may want to talk to your parents or maybe your health care educators at school about teen fitness.

Body weight and height are used to measure what is called BMI or body mass index.
Your friends BMI is 26.1, and by definition she is 'overweight'...not obese but overweight.
Your BMI is 21.7 which is normal.
Of course weight is a big part of health...but not representative of it...in otherwords...ya, your friend will benefit from loosing a few lbs. but having a normal weight alone does not make one healthy...
Anorexic 58lbs models are just as unhealthy as the obese!

You both are probably perfectly healthy.. Woman carry weight very differently and have different bone structures. She may have a larger skelatel frame than you and may be heavier in her chest and hips. But this is normal at her age.
