I am a professional bartender definitely club soda & a slice lime, but these are all easy drinks try these.
This is a Miami beach:3/4 oz. of scotch equal DRY vermouth 1 tbs of grapefruit juice add ice shake and strain, on the rocks is better unless everything is already cold.

paisley martini 2 1/2 oz gin 2 RSP of DRY vermouth 1 TSP of scotch.combine all with ice shake strain and enjoy

scotch flip: 2 oz of scotch 1 raw egg white and 2 TSP sugar syrup add alll of this with ice shake strain on the rocks then add club soda enjoy

scotch sour:2 oz scotch 2 tsp lime juice 1 tsp powered sugar combine everything with ice shake giid strain upside down add little club soda and a cherry and indulge.

Have you tried dry champagne (Brut) as the mixer with it? You get a double kick from the two together and the dryness of the champagne doesn't ruin the scotch flavor but you do get the bubbles coming through.

Nothing. Scotch is best without anything mixed in it.

club soda AND NOTHING ELSE it would be a sacrilege, absolutely no fruit cherry, etc. Should only mix blended scotches, JW red, dewers, no JW black.

Single malts should be sipped warm no ice, no mix

You can mix it with ginger ale or apple soda. Still or sparkling water are always a good choice.

i drink dewars and soda water on the rocks. i wouldnt spoil it with actual soda like coca-cola,but i know some who believe that mixing it with soda water is sacrilige so....
