Apparently Hornady loads the 7.7 Jap cartridge. See link below.

Be careful shooting the WWII Japanese rifles ... have it checked by a gunsmith before you fire it!

The only place I am aware of that sells this is Midway (http://www.midwayusa.com).

It looks like there is only one choice in loaded ammo for the 7.7 Jap.

I think Bound's Hubby had a good suggestion. If you haven't fired the rifle before, I'd take it to a gun smith to have it checked over. I think the last time I had that done, it cost me about $50 (and I thought this gunsmith was expensive...you might be able to have it checked for cheaper).

i inherited a 7.7 jap ww2 rifle and the only company that used to manufactur ammo for it was norma. you can probaly go to their web site to locate dealers. but first i would check out cheaper than dirt. com , sportsmans guide. com , cabelas.com , or just maybe midway shooters supply( midway.com).
