I know there is a god because there had to have been some greater being that started this all. What came before the big bang, how did all of those rocks get there. they couldn't have just appeared out of know where. My only question is where did god come from. I personally think that this answer is incomprehensible for the human mind.

Gentle Humanist,
The proof of God is just beyond the edges of the physical universe. It can be found in the time before history and in the questions that have no other answers. The value of faith can be easily found exactly at the end of your very own rope, which is to say that if you ever reach the end of your rope, you will either understand the value of faith or the world will cease to believe in you. God may also be found in the hopes that are beyond normal hope and in the love that is stronger than normal love.
The Bible is just a book full of the words of people. Some of them were wise, some not so much. Either way, it's a book. It can't "contain" God. God is in life and beyond death. God can be found wherever fears are defeated.
I'll tell you the real secret: it's about hope.

There is much evidence in creation, such as the awe-inspiring complexity of the single cell, to name one. There is DNA, with it's complex, and obvious design. Yes, there is all this evidence, but in the end, you must go that final inch of the proof gap in faith! As for the Bible, it has NEVER been proven wrong on any subject it touches on. ! Not when the writer is stating facts. There is poetry, and ancient writers had different standards in such fields as biography, but on cold hard facts they were always right. Then there is prophecy, but you get the idea. Hope this helps.

Let me ask you this, what would atheists consider proof? Concrete proof we do not have. That is why it's called faith. But people can tell you how God has changed their lives. Go look at faith healers. A tumor the size of your fist dosen't just disapear, you can't honestly believe that it's a coincidence that a faith healer says a person is healed and a doctor confirms that their aliment mysteriously just goes away.
The proof is all around you, you just dismiss it everyday. Look at the laws of physics. If the creation of the universe was as random as most people suggest, you wouldn't expect our existence to have that kind of order. You would expect matter and energy to behave more random, if the universe was created at random. But they don't and I don't think it was.

There is no proof that you would accept. ......
The key you overlook is the fact that belief in the Bible and it's message Requires FAITH. Those that have accepted the Bible accept it as truth.....in faith. Those of you that don't require or look for something more tangible and Christians don't have that. We accept the Bible and use it as our guide, that is why some will quote it as proof because they accept it as true, whereas you don't and a Bible based answer is not sufficient for you.

Have you got proof that there is no God.

and if you want proof, read the fist five books of the new testament in the bible.

The existence of Jesus is fact for it is written in the history books.

Jesus can be only three things

A liar

If he was then the Romans would not have crucified him for or he had to say to get out of it was that he is not the Son of God

A sicko claiming to be God

If he had a mental disease, he would not have enough knowledge to teach the teachings that was recorded in the bible.

The last option is that he really was the Son of God

So make your choice, I've made mine.

Well what do you mean by proof. I have philosophical and logical reasons that make the existence of a personal monotheistic God the most rational conclusion. But if you speak of empirical evidence of course not, you cannot have empirical evidence for a non empirical being, to ask for such is as foolish as asking how many feet long the color blue is.

You'll never know unless you read it. The proof is in you! Look at your hand... five digits...that can work in cooperation with each other... with unique finger prints, no other hand in the world just like yours.... God made you one of a kind. You are not an accident or the product of evolution, or the big bang... You were uniquely designed by God for a special purpose. I suggest you read the book by Josh McDowell, "More than a Carpenter"... and disciver the uniqueness of God.

Faith: trust, confidence, acceptance, credence, sureness Webster's Pocket Thesaurus

That's what Christianity is about. We don't need proof. Evidence is nice, and it sure helps Lee Stroble and those who want to provide a reason, but it's not necessary. I know this isn't the best answer, but it's what I have.

No one has proof, that's why it's called faith. It is that leap of faith, from the world of the senses, to the spiritual world where Christ, Buddha or Shiva exists that is the difference between a spiritual person and a humanist.

If you need proof of God to believe, than there really isn't any point in believing, now, is there?
