DOSE= Stock Desired/Stock on Hand x Volume

;Order is 300 mg IV with the stock as 1 gram (1000 mg)
>300 MG/1000MG X 50 ML

;Cancel the mg
>300/1000 X 50 ML

The answer after dividing is multiplied with the volume
>0.3 X 50 ML

The amount or dose you will give.
>15 ML (which is a dilution containing 300 mg of the ordered drug.)
