I am so jealous of you--leathery wings, nocturnal sight, feeding off people--sounds wonderful! there's plenty of people to go around and most of them are bad, so I'd never run out of food or have to suffer remorse--it would be like a public service!

Is this your poem or someone Else's? I think that you are teetering on the brink right now and are in danger of losing your faith. The devil has no power over you if you do not wish it. Then again neither does God. You have to pick one or the other and then give your heart, mind and soul to that decision. God will protect you if you so choose but if you don't give him your heart, truly and without reservation then the devil can get to you. Remember that the devil is the sower of lies and deceit he would like you to think that he is more powerful than he is. He is a tempter and nothing more. He has no power over you if you do not wish it so. Peace to you. Good luck.

You ignored the definitive Bible quote. Isaiah 40 5:7 - I sort the sunshine, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do a majority of those issues God is in no way black or white stable or undesirable. "God" in basic terms is and we p.c. for ourselves the thank you to view the international and what our very own strikes are.

Okay Desirree, this stuff is figurative, not literal. I'm not going to give you the entire playbook in one answer, but if you hate more than you love, if you prefer greed to generosity, if you would pass up a chance to be nice in favor of a chance to be mean, then yes the " Lord of Darkness " has a "claim" over your "soul". But it isn't literal.

If God were all powerful then one would assume he could annihalate Satan. Since Satan clearly hasn't been annihalated then Satan must too have the same powers as God. Luckily, I'm an athiest!
Nice poem :)

satan can't "possess" you in the way most people think. He can borrow. He can manipulate. He can con.
But he can't own you.
