If it was obvious, we'd all know about it.

That's why I cannot accept any of the religions out there. If Allah were real, then we'd all know that Allah is lord. If Jehovah were real, then we'd all know that Jehovah is lord. If Jesus Christ were real, then we'd all know that Jesus is lord.

God would not hide behind obfuscation and obscure texts if he wanted to be known by the people.

To quote Buffalo Springfield, "Nobody's right if everybody's wrong."

Some would answer that he did. There are two types of revelations. Specific revelation and general revelation. Specific revelation is currently thought as someone telling another person about the gospel which means "good news." Some people argue that you can only go to heaven if you have accepted Christ though specific revelation.

That begs the question what about all the people through out history that have died without hearing the gospel. Where do they go? Heaven, Hell, Purgatory?

Does Saint Peter at the gates of heaven give them a second chance? If so who would be ignorant enogh to say no while actually looking at the pearly gates.

That is where general revelation comes in. People theorize that we can know God though general revelation "nature, human body, etc..." That is why the ancient generation have had the sun god or moon god and so on. But does that mean just because they believe in a "god" they would go to heaven?

Personally, looking at the Bible as a book of tales is fine but as one digs deeper you could at the very least argue that it is currently being studied by archaeologist for clues into ancient tells. Tells are what we would call modern day hill sites. Where people have built towns in the olden days.

I know in my life that through the people and circumstances along with reading and teaching in the bible are what "prove" to me that God exists. Maybe the bible is all you need and all their is to prove that God exists but I don't think that.

God didn't write the bible. Man did. Throughout the pages of the bible there are stories of Gods doing. Adam & Eve, Moses, Noah, Jesus etc but after the bible there is nothing. No holy sign from above. No further floods, people parting seas to free their people and not a single female saying that she has had the immaculate conseption for the second coming. For hundreds of years there has been the chance for God to show he exists but he does nothing. Thousands die from famine & war and he still does nothing. Do you really think that if he wrote the bible and his word was true that he would let the children of the world suffer as they do?

He didn't leave us a book of tales, He left us with a book of opportunities. He left us with the ability to choose. The Angels were created to serve God, He created us with the ability to choose. If you had a choice would you want people who wanted to work for you or someone who had no choice. Also remember we will be raised a little higher than the Angels.

We have a God-spaced hole in our lives and most of us try and ignore it
Even for those who have never read the Bible there is a deep hunger for spiritual things and a search for God
oh
and did you ever wonder about the whole of creation as a sign that God has been at work for a few years
May God bless you even if you are not a sincere seeker -hope you find Him soon - he has already found you

God wants us to come to Him in faith, not because He has to prove Himself.

And the Bible is not a book of tales, get that through your thick head. Why would someone write a book with over a 1000 pages in it JUSt to throw people off? We have our religion, you have yours.

Im really getting sick of this "why doesnt God prove himself" and "how could he be real. Its impossible" and "youre all gullible idiots for taking in that sh*t" tripe. Christians are the ones that get the most prosecution, and youre not helping, buddy.

Sorry, but Im really angry right now.

God made us in his own likeness so the bible says that makes him a humanoid. Maybe he was just a traveller in the universe who came to Earth and gave us guidance before he travelled on maybe he has not come back yet and the tales are lessons to teach about faith.

He did - He came in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and that book of 'tales' is in fact the very Word of God.

He gave us His Word, He gave us Himself and then gave His blood when He died a sacrifice for sinners.

He commands us to repent and believe that we might know the forgiveness of sin and eternal life.

Sounds good to me.

If you look at the philosophy surrounding that nature of Gods existence, you find that many will argue that God proves his existence in the natural world, in the beauty we find in nature and in the good deeds people commit without benefit to themselves

God doesn't have to prove anything to you. As for the book of tales, man wrote that.
God shows all of us all kinds of things we all take for granted.
Where do trees, flowers, animals, stars, sky & ocean ect. ect. where does all that come from?

God created the earth and rested.
God created Man and rested.
God created women
Since then no one has rested.

Isn't that proof enough?
