First of all, depression is a treatable condition. So get help for that.

Check out different pain management options.

As far as I know about God and the purpose of life, I know we can't say exactly how God will judge any specific individual. Of course, He will have mercy but He will also have to live by His law of Justice too.

To kill one's self is murder. And murder is breaking one of the basic 10 commandments.

Life was meant to be hard. We each have different trials and tests. These are meant to encourage us to turn to Him and to show Him we will follow Him no matter how hard or painful. Christ went thru more pain than any of us will ever endure. And He asked us to follow Him.

So pray for strength, for answers, for hope. Ask God to help you find happiness despite pain. Look for ways to serve others. Serving others can bring great happiness and change the outlook from introspective and depressed to a greater feeling of worth as a person and strength as an individual.

God bless you. He loves you. Ask Him, maybe not to take away the pain(even Christ didn't ask that) but to get thru it and endure to the end of God's time for you here.

I bear my testimony that He will. Ask Him what you should pray for. "Ask in faith, with a sincere desire to do His will.

That is a very good question. I guess it depends on which god claims you, or that you claim as your god. The christian god is represented as loving by some of his followers, but as angry, vengeful and downright scary by others. So that one's up for debate.

The All Father (Odinn. One of my Gods.) probably wouldn't take you. Even though you were in a spiritual/emotional battle, the fact that you commited suicide is pretty much akin to breaking Troth. Bad move. Only warriors of the highest honor, who have never broken Troth, make it into Valhalla, IMO. However, there are many Gods and Goddesses. Unless you are an oath breaker or a rapist or a murderer, one of them should take you in. Only oath breakers and rapists and murderers (and people who do that type of thing) go to Nostrand, if it even exists. (There's only one mention of it in all of our sacred writings.) That's what I got from our writings, anyways.

I would advise this person to seek out others in this condition. I think christians call it 'fellowshipping'. The point is, this person has other options than suicide, and they should examine them more closely.

Incidentally, I have a health condition that was supposedly going to kill me in less than a year. Eight years ago. Painful? You betcha. Do I still have it? Yup. I go to Sweden all the time for treatment because the US has given up on me. (One of the beautiful things about dual citizenship. I go where they value me as a human being.) I still work and contribute to society more than many people who have absolutely nothing wrong with them. I would advise this person to make the best of what they have. I would also invite them to contact me for support if they need it. We all need a boost now and then, and I am well placed to deliver that boost. I understand. I do not condemn. But I am concerned.

Remember, Courage IS one of the Nine Noble Virtues of Asatru! Courage in the face of all things. Even pain.

I'm probably not going to make any friends with this but I'm hear to be truthful, and this is what I have seen in real lives in people who follow the Bible, Apostolic, not just rumor and maybes

First payer is what a person should do in the situation above, pay in Jesus name.
and God can heal, (This is real I have seen it and have been healed too)
or if this is not the case because we are still in mortal. God can easy the pain and even take them home.
suicide is NEVER right

The question isn't what emotional condition is the person in when he dies, it is did he accept the Free Gift of eternal life while he still could. Jesus wants to give life to all who ask for it without a price. suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. without receiving God's gift that person along with anyone else who died w/o Jesus as their Lord and Savior would indeed go to hell. that is not what God wants, it's your choice by rejecting His gift of eternal life. God does have mercy and sent His son to show that to us.

God loves every person and knows the hearts of all. The person you describe may not have the mental energy to think clearly and may wrongly choose suicide. But only God knows if the person is really guilty of the sin.

If he is a christian and has dedicated life to christ then no matter what hell go to heaven but the bible teaches that suicide is wrong. But once that gift of salvation is accepted then it cant be taken away. I would advise that person to turn to God.

I believe if a person in their right mind commits suicide, he goes to hell. I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't take the chance.

If he dies with a positive attitude, beside having all the pain and depressions. I think he will not go to hell. Anyway after all it is a faith, believe that makes everything.

sorry to say hell is where you would go.the best thing to do is find something to live for.get some prozak or something.if you find a reason to go on like being an example for others like yourself,it could give new meaning to your life.just imagine being in the same situation or worse for all eternity..not worth it.pull up into a church, there you will find purpose, meaning, and possibly healing.good luck to you.

God has mercy on all who are so emotionally troubled they attempt to take their own life, and even more for those who succeed.
