Wouldn't that be helping them in the long run?
After all, Jesus said, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God"

Give unto Ceaser what is his and to God what is God's... When the law of the country states such ,then be it as long as it does not oppose God's law... God bless you

Im still trying to figure out how these faith healers that are rich beyond my wildest dreams plan on entering your Kingdom, Oh Tofu Jesus.... These "men of God" have less of a chance than a camel through a needle, yet so many beleive in them and continue to make them rich - without being healed!

No, taxes should be equal do you want to crash the economy. If the rich are going to be taxed at a rate more than the poor what is the motivation to risk your money on a business and provide jobs.
I do think the chrarities they do should not be tax deductible as it lays unnecessary burden on the middle class. A charity is something a person does for selfish reasons- either to feel good or tax deductions. The extra money could go toward public healthcare!

That assumes that rich people are worse off because of their riches. Isn't it more likely to assume that a poor person would steal/murder/commit some other sin in desperation? Many poor people sell their bodies or commit crimes, both in order to gain wealth. Surely a medium tax on extra-income is all that is needed to sustain a small, useful government. Taxes can be lowered for all if people are held responsible for their choices.

I think the point is that they would give their money up willingly. I don't know anyone who likes to pay taxes, but were I rich, I would give to charities helping widows and orphans way more than I can now. So my answer is no. It's not like higher taxes will "help" them get into heaven.

No. Rich people make jobs. If we take money from them, then they can't pay people to work.

That is an other referresh to Man of God vs. Man of Gold.

Tax the rich, who actually go out to work, and give it to the scroungers who do nothing. Yep, that sounds like a christian.

Remember, the meek shall inherit the Earth, but not it's mineral rights.

no i think doctors go to medical school for years and years to get rewarded and make money. they deserve equal taxing, and i dont think that being rich sends people to hell. bill gates for example is donating like almost all of his money to charity and giving maybe a million dollars a piece to his kids when he dies so there ya go :)

I suppose I would say we should stop taxing wages and shift the burdon as necessary to accomplish that.
