Our two your old is not really acting out since we had the new baby, but she is so attached to my wife now. She wants her to do everything for her and won't give my wife any space. And whenever wife leaves the house, look out. She cries hysterically.

give her a little time to adjust to the new addition and if you are watching the children ask her to help daddy by carrying diapers and whatever small things she is capable of doing it will make her feel needed and should take her mind of mommy not being in sight. also distract her as soon as possible after your wife leaves with 'mommy will be back soon would you help me with the baby' she may really enjoy this.

She is two. And she is acting out not in the way you might have thought. SHe is acting out in the sense she wants to be again the center of attention now that a new one is in the house. Did you try to tell her about a new baby waiting for this new one to come? Do you include her in the changes of diapers where she might hand the diaper and wipes to you to help out as the big girl? Do you give her chances to play big sis...so proud of the new baby? You should try to take her out by yourself even if only to the park for a while and build on the relationship with her and make her feel special. Mom could let you babysit for a while and give her "JUST ME TIME". IT works wonders for them....I do this with my son and daughter who are well beyond the toddler years.

she wants your wife for her self.she doesn't want the baby anywhere near your wife because shes jealous. because the baby has been with the mother lately and she hasn't been able to one on one time with her mother. try letting her have one hour just her and mom together just her and mom.
