Yes! The Roman Catholic Church teaches that if you live a good life, but didn't have the opportunity to hear about Christ, he would be saved, by the grace of God. However, I don't know if Protestants would agree with that.

Yes. That's the "good news" - Jesus died for all of mankind's sin. All sin is forgiven, for everybody, for all time: past, present and future.

In fact, the person on the desolate island is fortunate in that they don't have to live their life surrounded by people telling them that they are out of favor with God, that God is angry with them, that they are a screw-up in God's eyes and that they are going to hell.

Read the story of the Prodigal Son, which is symbolic of our relationship with God. The seperation is all of the son's doing and the Father NEVER during the course of the story thinks less of the son or stops loving him. When the son gets tired of his folly, he returns home. And so it is with us. When we tire of our folly we return to God - and that journey, as taken by different people, may look very different. They might be a Christian or a Jew of a Muslim, Hindu, atheist or a person on a desolate island.

Same answer I just gave. It is only opinions. <>

Paul talks about it in the first part of Romans.

God does not show favoritism.
God will punish the Gentiles when they sin, even though they never had God's written law. And he will punish the Jews when they sin, for they do have the law. For it is not merely knowing the law that brings God's approval. Those who obey the law will be declared right in God's sight.
Even when Gentiles, who do not have God's written law, instinctively follow what the law says, they show that in their hearts they know right from wrong. They demonstrate that God's law is written within them, for their own consciences either accuse them or tell them they are doing what is right. The day will surely come when God, by Jesus Christ, will judge everyone's secret life. This is my message.
Romans 2:11-16

Catholics ARE Christians, my friend.

According to the Catechism of the Catholic church, yes. They can be saved. They are considered "pre-Gospel."

Biblically speaking, Jesus himself says there are those who hear an accept the Word, but do not follow it. And those who have never heard the Word but by their very nature follow it.

Cathooics believe that one who, through no fault of his own, never hears the Gospel, or never comes to know God, yet responds positively to God's grace by living a good life, may be saved.

St. Paul explained as much in one of his epistles.

Yes... provided he does the RIGHT thing as to the dictation of his CONSCIENCE... the power of choice which God gives to every human beings... You either choose the right and live or the opposite and die... Refer to ROMANS 2. For those who keep the law ( know God's word ) they are judged by it but for those who do not know the law, they are judged according to their CONSCIENCE...as to whether they do right or otherwise to death...For this fact, every human beings are going to be judged on that dreadful day by God whether you have heard of the word or not... applicable to places like Russia and other communist countries in those days when the Gospel was forbidden... but for today, their doors are opening for God's word/prophecies MUST fulfil in that his word must be taken to ALL parts of the world, then the end comes... Jesus returns to take his people home... would you like to come with me and my family ? God Bless you

God has said no one will have an excuse..and the gospel will be preached to ALL nations before the day of judgment..so the truth is there will be none with an excuse before Gods throne.

Poor little human, you really limit God. If he created the world and everyone and everything in it, what makes you think he can't reach a person who seems out of reach?
