To be completely honest, there really is no guaranteed method to opening any business. I've seen people who have absolutely no buisness training or degrees and run successful businesses. The business I'm in right now is naval architecture and this firm that I work in was opened in 1953 by two brothers who had no training in business management. Today, the firm is one of the most successful naval design firm's in the city.
There are also those who go to college for business management or administration and can't run a simple business even if their life dependented on it. But, it never hurts to find training. You can go to any vo tech school usually for a program between nine months to a little over a year, gain a certificate or diploma and become licensed as a hair stylist or hair dresser. This is usually where most people begin their careers in this profession, build up experience, then after five years or so, you can likely open a salon of your own.
There are many other places that offer salon business courses, like community colleges, seminars, even privately owned training schools. But, be warned, many private training schools have recently had some problems with taking money from their prospective students and not providing them with their training courses or materials. In other words, just go about locating a school or program carefully.
Good luck to you miss.

If you simply own it and don't do hair in it none, but if you wish to do hair in your salon then you have to get a license to do hair from a school of cosmetology which doesn't take long at all to accrue

Depending on the state you live in you usually have to work for another hairdresser after getting your liscence for a certain amount of time before you can open your shop
