Hey, I agree. I think that atheists (myself included) don't have all that 'God' baggage to bring along. Therefore, we're a lot more laid back and open, accepting all people - not trying to lay down some guilt trip about going to church and believing in a 'God' to everyone we meet who is not like us.
Thanks for the observation!

I'm an athiest and I accept that other people may believe in something that doesn't exist, whatever makes them happy. However I have to agree with the religious crowd on this one, your question is probably for no real purpose other than self-gratification or an attempt to mock atheism.
Why else would you phrase it in such a manner?

Heaven is promised to no man. Only God decides who go to heaven..no one else.
There may be more atheists in Heaven than Muslims...But then again, Being toughtful and caring is a gift from God. All goodness comes from God. Some atheists may be true Christians without knowing it.

Ummm...actually, I've met some intolerant athiests, mostly because they're frequently being put on the defensive by Christians or other religious people trying to convert them. And isn't dissuading people from whatever god or gods or goddess they believe in also in a way converting?
I think if I were going to persuade someone to be ANY religion, it would be something that ISN'T mutually exclusive with anything else. That way there wouldn't be as much religious intolerance, because people could just say, "Well, your god is cool too. Mine smells like cookies" or whatever.

But, if as a Christian, I am wrong, so what? Then there is nothing. I have lost nothing. I enjoy my life as it is now. If an atheist is wrong, then what? And does it improve your life to spend your time attacking another belief. Sounds more bitter than peaceful, in my opinion.
But, I am probably wrong. It goes with the stupidity.

I do not believe in the mumble jumble that religions say, but just because a person is atheist doesn't mean they don't have a motive behind how they treat you or are all peaceful and loving.
However, I like it when people get under religious people skins.

You answered it right. Atheist do care about Christians and worry they might harm themselves, playing with those rattlesnakes or drinking that wine.,. Eating those lil crackers that the catholic services handled by all of those sodimite preists.
Some of them are bound to get drowned having their faces ducked under the water. One preacher a few years ago got executed that way.Atheist as you say are not in bondage by religion, and are alot safer, and happier.

Please step down off your high and mighty, give all the credit to myself, pedestal for a moment. Looking up at you is giving me a nose bleed and your blocking my view of God. Most people in general are thoughtful and caring (when it suits their needs). The next time you do something for someone ask yourself why you are doing it, honestly. Are you doing it because its right or because you want to be recognized for your action. I would bet that bellow the surface of your "good natured behavior" lays the hope for reward whether it be monetary or just vocal. Peace.

Why,oh,why,do you feel it necessary to abuse believers? As an Atheist,i think everyone has the right to believe anything they want,It's neither my duty, nor inclination, to tell anybody that they are wrong & i am right.I only object to those who try to convert me,& call me a sinner, people like that are involving themselves in my life, without being invited.

I'm sure there are thoughtful caring people throughout the world, Christian, Musilum, Jewish, Hindu ect. I wasn't aware that atheist were out to spread peace, happiness, and tolerance campaign. I think to group them together and say aren't they are nice group is silly. If that is the case Christianity does more for people than any other religious group out there and there GOD loved his people so much he sent his son to die for thier sins.
