Angels do have freewill, that is where the devil came from. He was an Angel that rebelled against God. Man was created a little lower than the Angels. Angels have appeared in many forms including the burning bush of Moses.

I am not a believer in free will either for angels or for humans, but apart from that the difference is that Angels are spirit beings (clearly taught in the Bible in places like Hebrews 1) and have no soul or body. At times angels do take on human bodies for particular purposes but normally not. Angels are servants to those who will inherit eternal life. They do not reproduce and do not marry. Humans have both a soul and body as well as a spirit. Humans can inherit eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. Angels' destiny is determined for them.

Angels had free will only once, when they chose between Satan and God. Now they obey the master they have chosen. The difference is that they are a different race of beings. Humans have been created in God's image (according to Genesis). Since humans are born into sin, they are already chosing against God. God created a way out for humans to reunite with Him in a relationship. The angels do not have a way out - they are either for God or against Him.

I don't get all these people saying angels don't have free will. Of course they do.

Humans are "natural" creatures. Angels are "supernatural" creatures.

Many folks here are saying angels don't have bodies, but there are MANY biblical references to angels appearing AS MEN. So, while we are all spirit at the core, angels seem to have an easier time stepping in and out of bodies.

The bible never says if they manifest a body or like demons just borrow one. Since they have so much power, I have always thought they manifested bodies.

The difference between angels and human beings in freewill is that angels have a clear knowledge of the proper use of freewill. they also know clearly the consequences of their choices, we do not. Hence, the words of Christ on the Cross, "Forgive them Father (meaning the Father is to forgive humanity) for they know not what they do." However, Satan knew what his choice in disobeying God would entail; his self-banishment.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.

Angels honor God always. They sing his praises and do his bidding Always without questioning or wondering if what he says is right. The don't squabble amongst themselves and they don't criticize each other and look down upon one another. In essence they have none of the faults contributed to humans. They are as perfect as they can be next to God. What i don't understand is why would he want us when he already has them? Maybe he wants someone to talk too who wont mind giving him a different view on things Someone who loves him because they want too before anything else. I don't know but that is what i like to believe.

Angels no longer have freewill, for lack of a better way of wording it. Their choices were actualized at the fall of Lucifer. Those who chose God continue to serve him as we will at the resurrection. People who choose to deny him, will, like the fallen angels, end up in Hell.

Atheist Eye Candy,
angels are messengers, and humans are supposed to fellowship with God. It kind of puts us, after sin is taken away, above the angels. Also, we have a fleshly body, but get this; they weren't supposed to die.

So how do we understand a fleshly body that does not get sick, does not grow old, and lives on forever? Also how are we supposed to feel thinking that we were created to do what Adam did? That is: walk and talk with God, and do whatever He wants us to do in the meantime?

I can hardly wait!

Angels are pure spirits, messenger servants of God, with supernatural powers.

Humans are composite beings comprised of body and spirit, temporarily confined to a natural existence, but destined for the supernatural.

A Physical body.
Some angels have never had a body, yet, and some have had a body but because the resurrection hasn't happened, they are currently without one.
