I started taking zoloft a few days ago but I'm only taking 1/2 of a 25mg tablet, which is not a lot. Yesterday and today I'm experiencing lightheadedness and dizziness; yesterday I thought it was left over from some pain medication I took the day before but it's still happening today. Is Zoloft known to do this?

Check the literature that came with your prescription. I've been taking it at a much higher dose than yours for a long time, and never had dizziness, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen. As far as extended effects from pain medication, that's probably closer to the truth. Depends on which pain med, the dosage, and for how long you took it - but the side effect of dizziness is common with those meds.

I experienced that when I took Zoloft. Lightheaded and dizzy. Like I was floating all the time. I gave it three weeks and then stopped because of that side effect.
