i have a friend in a similar situation, the article at the bottom says it all. How come you were not informed of any changes or difficulties is beyond belief, and its always the bloody customer that loses out. Not sure what you are to do now apart from claiming for compo Ask some friends and family to help. Hopefully they will be able to pull you through this obviously harsh and troubled time of year for most of you involved.

Celebrate my Christmas on boxing day because the shops will be open. Resolve myself to only buy store saving stamps for next year, serve my guests a really good fry up and say I wanted their company more than a big dinner that would stuff them out too much to have a bit of fun. Christmas is about more than food.

God, I nearly paid money into Farepak Hampers. I would absolutely freak - beans on toast for Christmas and no presents.
