I have 3 cats that are indoor/outdoor cats. My neighbor on one side has one, the neighbor down the street has 3, the neighbor across the street also has 3. So, sometimes they are all in different yards or in one. Good thing is, they all get along, are all spayed or neutered, and we have no cat fights or unwanted kittens. I have told the neighbors without cats, that if they don't want my cat in their yard, I understand, just turn the water hose on them. After a few dowsings they will get the hint. I do understand that someone who vaules the flower bed would not want a cat digging in it, and leaving it's waste. So, if this is the case with your neighbor, try to make amends. Get some cat repellent pellets from Petsmart, and take them over to her. Tell her that you understand the time and effort she puts into her flowers, and you hope that this will keep all the cats away from her yard. Just let her know where she can get it next time if it works. No matter what, it would be illegal for her to physically harm any cat for being in her yard. Hopefully this will work for you.

If you want an honest opinion, I will give you one. If it's a stray, I feed and water them and then I try to trap it and take it to our local cat shelter where it'll be taken care of. They do not put them to sleep there; if they did I wouldn't take them there. If it turns out to be somebody else's cat, sorry about your luck. You should be taking better care of it which includes keeping it indoors. If pisses me off to no extent when someone who claims to love their cat leaves them roam free. Do you not know what can happen???
The poor thing can get hit by a car, can be attacked by a dog or another wild animal like a racoon (which could have rabies), and you know how some people just hate cats! They could poison it by leaving out antifreeze for it. Do you know how painful it is for them to die that way??? People who let their cats roam free are not responsible or caring pet owners and should not even own a cat if that's all the more they care for the cat! Shame on you! If your neighbor has complained to you and you still let your cat out, don't be surprised if it ends up dead. I'd feel terrible for your cat but not you. You should know better!

The average life of an indoor cat is 13-24 years. The average life of an outdoor cat is 2-5 years. I think that people who let their cats roam really don't care how long they live.

Most outdoor cats will always be outdoor cats. But I raised my cats indoors, and never let them out. It creates a fear for them and they don't want to go outside.

Expense-wise, you are saving on shots, because indoor cats don't need as many shots as outdoor cats. They also say that the large amount of shots is part of the cause of shorter lives.

well other than the fact that i worry about cats getting hit by cars or getting diseases if a cat is just sitting on the driveway and not hurting anyone whats the big deal? our neighborhood isnt like that people actually leave their garages open for the neighborhood cats and we have one guy who has like 3 outside cats and when i drove by this afternoon his cats where in his next door neighbors garage on top of his car asleep and happy as can be so we dont have ugliness like that woman over here

I have 4 inside cats and my opinion is that my animals don't bother my neighbors so i don't like to be bothered by my neighbors animals.
Outside cats don't have a long lifespan because they can be killed by all kinds of things. Especially around Halloween, there are a lot of cruel people in the world. It will break your heart when your kitty disappears

That is why we have so many cats.Because people just carelesly let there cats roam around. If you let your cat roam around then make sure it's spade or neutered.Other wise (if you have a female cat)you might want to be prepared for a litter of kittens. Also if you let your cats roam around they tend to get in fights and might get rabies. Now I don't know about you but I wouldn't want my cat to have rabies

If the cat is fixed then it shouldnt be a problem but you can get a spray to go around your yard.

well i think its ok for people to let their cats outside for a while. if the neighbor complains then maybe you should go outside with the cat and bring it inside with you when you go inside!

I say, let 'em roam. We need less mice in the community and besides, you never know when I'll need some target practice. lol
