I was told by WIC that I should stop breastfeeding because it causes contractions and could make me go into labor. When I got home I called Leleeche (think thats spelled right) League and they said that it doesn't cause any more contractions than if you were having intercourse so unless your doctor has advised you not to have intercourse you should be fine. I just want to know if anyone else has breastfed while pregnant, or if anyone had any complications with it? Thanks so much!~

When I was pregnant with my son, I breastfed my daughter for the entire pregnancy, with no complications and I have a history of miscarriage. The only worry I had was that I was very tired but I did have a toddler and was 42 at the time. Go ahead and enjoy the closeness with your babies

it is absolutely fine to breastfeed while pregnant. WIC gives out formula - what do they know?

yes, i did nurse our first born while pregnant with our second born. Eventually, the milk got low in supply and first born stopped. I let him nurse when he asked after the baby was born.

"Nipple stimulation motives labour" is a type of city myths. no one will ever understand if that's truthfully authentic, because of the fact anybody who it rather works on became exceptionally darn possibly to pass into labour clearly besides. "Do you think of it may be greater effective if it took some days or could some hours of breastfeeding be effectual sufficient to set off exertions? " If she's 38+ weeks pregnant that's completely functional for her to pass into labour notwithstanding if she does not do it in any respect. what's unrealistic is the theory that everybody could think of this became what led to it.

I'd advise against nursing while pregnant.. In addition to the contractions, nursing literally sucks alot of minerals and vitamins out of you.. Your new growing unborn child deserves all the nutrition now.. the older baby can get all the vitamins he needs with formula and healthy foods.
