I'm not sure what it is, but I heard about it on the documentary on McDonald's foods. The guy who went on a 30 day diet of only McDonald's foods got fatty liver disease. I'm not sure if it was because he gained so much weight, or if his liver couldn't keep up with all the fat and processed food. But I know that after he got off that diet and back to his normal weight that all of his health problems disappeared.

Fatty Liver Disease is the buildup of fat cells in the liver. It can be caused by alcoholism, obesity, diabetes, and pregnancy. If someone has fatty liver disease but does not have diabetes, FLD can lead to diabetes.

FLD itself is benign, but it can lead to a host of other problems, including hepatitis and cirrhosis.
