Yes. You can attend college classes (at community college especially) with a parent as a minor.
By and large, though, you need to graduate HS to get into college.

Yes, getting your GED will get you into a 2 year transfer college at first. Most 4 year colleges make people who did not graduate from high school wait for 5 years after their expected graduation date. Sort of like a penalty for not finishing high school. Personally, I think if a person has the ambition to actually WANT to continue their education, this should not be done. But, yes, getting your GED will get you into a 2 year college and those credits will transfer towards your Bachelor's degree.

I understand that if you can prove your intellectual competence that you can attend any post secondary school without having graduated high school. I think this generally applies to "mature" students returning to school. It is highly likely that the GED is required at the very least and I doubt that University would be excluded. Of course I am in Canada not the US so I cannot speak of their rulings. As far I as I can tell you needn't even be able to read or write in America to be granted access to University or College since you can be matriculated without those basic skills, at least this has been the case in the past 10 years or so.
You 'd have to check the specific entrance requirements of the school you are interested in.

You can get a GED; then go to a community college. Credits from a community college can be transferred to a university. Some universities give scholarships for community college students who have earned a two year Associates Degree and maintained a 3.5 - 4.0 GPA.
