Do military police patroll the war zone or do they stay on base?

there are military police stationed all over in different situations and at different stations; sometimes, they might just guard a base, ie. man the front gates or the entrances, and that can be here in the U.S. or wherever. other times they might have duties more related to a war zone, if in fact that is where they are stationed.

they are also in charge of keeping an eye on our military folks while in foreign ports, ie. while the other guys and girls are off having a good time, the mp's are making sure no one gets in trouble.

The Military Police do both, they patrol the war zone during combat and they stay on base to protect the base. It all depends on what type of Military Police unit you are in. I have been in both types, one that would patrol the war zone and one that would stay on base. I have also been in one that would never get into combat unless there were an attack on the base itself.
