What are the new style beetles like? Are they easy to drive, reliable, and as the back of them looks quite big are they hard to park and reverse??

Go for it. It is a great car to drive, the only weirdness i remember when i first got mine was the huge dashboard. It felt a bit strange but of course you get used to it. Main thing about a Beetle is how unique they are(no comments on how many beetles there are on the road please), other car shapes are quite boring and you can funk up your beetle to your own style!!

As far the parking and driving, no problems either way and i also havent had any mechanical problems either and its been over 3 years now! LOVE IT, Named her Tallulah!!!

It's a fat, heavy, expensive Golf.

Lots of VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) cars use the same floorpan and mechanicals as the Golf - the Beetle being one.
Save loads of money / spend same money and get a better spec if you buy a Seat Leon. My cousin has a Seat Leon Cupra R (1.8ltr petrol with turbo) and it's like a bullet! Cost a hell of a lot less than a Golf GTI - which is pants by comparison.

It will be easy to drive, park and reverse as it doesn't have the fat un-judgeable corners as the beetle and will be cheaper to insure, fuel and repair - not that it will need repairing often as it's basically a VW, as mentioned before.

The cars themselves are indeed easy to drive and reliable. Amazing to me how well you can see all around you driving them. The only word of caution I have is that any mechanical issues with the car will be expensive. That car is one of the most difficult vehicles to work on, due to what I consider overengineering. Nobody that I know likes to work on them and sometimes charge additional money to do so.

They are expensive to buy, there are better cars for the same price. They are not very reliable. All repairs have to be done at the dealership. If you want a stilish car, buy a Pt Cruiser.

They are junk...IMO

I work for a car dealer and the only people who like VW's are the mechanics as they are getting paid to repair them. You can buy much more car for the money...
