Tanita is a company that developed a better way to find out how much fat is on a persons body. they attach little electrodes to you that calculate how much water is in certain cells and calculates your BMI or Body Mass Index. It is painless.

a Stress echo test is also know as an Echo cardiograph. It monitors your heart and in short terms, tells the doc. how your heart is working. that is also painless. once again they place 6-11 electrode pads to your chest and they "read" your heart.

a PFTest is a test to check how your body is circulating oxygen in the blood. It also tells how "old" your lungs are. It checks you for a disease called Pulmonary Fibrosis. I'm not sure how it is done though sorry.

I don't know what RUV testing is sorry. But by the sounds of it the doctor are checking to make sure your heart is in working order and your body is capable of supporting itself. These tests are done on people who are obese.

I think they all have something to do with testing heart function, though I'm not positive about any. I know a Stress Echocardiogram involves watching how the heart works while doing something to make the heart rate rise, like running on a treadmill, but I'm not sure if that's the test you're referring to.

PFT is Pulmonary Function Test-- they have you take big deep breaths then blow into a tube until it beeps and it gives them a read out of how old your lungs are. I am 33 and my lungs are 53 or 52 yes I smoke and I should quite.
