Did you really expect any reasonable answers to this question? :)

Anyway, these folks at least prove the point you're attempting to drive home to them.

It depends on what you call unreasoable action. If you think that stealing is an unreasonable action then i dont think any religion preaches that. Or if you believe killing is unreasonable then again i dont believe any religion preaches that, with the possible exception of Islam. either way you look at it just as many "unreasonable actions" come from religious and non-religious people

Religion wouldnt be religion if it didnt require a leap of faith otherwise it will just be common fact. But all religions tell you to reason in different ways. It is certain people though who take what they read to the extreme and become obsessed and try to force their views on others and then commit "unreasonable actions".

Religions are Organizations are require a certain amount of dependency. However, religiousness always starts with the reason, until it goes beyond. In this context, unreasonable action equals mystical experience.

Yes, Jesus' life was the most unreasonable life there has been. It wasn't reasonable for Him to leave heaven where He was God over everything, it wasn't reasonable for Him to be born as a human, or to live in poverty, or to follow all the commandments, or to die on a cross as a criminal even though He had done nothing wrong. Jesus taught that faith is far superior to reason, because it is only those who will trust in Him through faith that will inherit eternal life, so throwing out all reason I believe in the hope of eternal salvation from eternal death and suffering. IT may not be reasonable but it is worth it all.

A lot of people who commit evil acts don't do so just because they're religious, but rather they use their religion as a means and an excuse.

The real problem is that in an institution such as organized religion, inadequate leaders are even more often promoted to positions of great power.

Jehovah never requested blind obedience

Heb 11:1 Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld. 2 For by means of this the men of old times had witness borne to them.

Rom 12:1 Consequently I entreat YOU by the compassions of God, brothers, to present YOUR bodies a sacrifice living, holy, acceptable to God, a sacred service with YOUR power of reason. 2 And quit being fashioned after this system of things, but be transformed by making YOUR mind over, that YOU may prove to yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Unfortunately most religions don't want people to think.

Religion uses a higher form of reason. There is much in life that is beyond reason that we all accept. Love, for instance. How reasonable is that? Hatred, now THAT is unreasonable. Faith is the same. A child has to have faith in its parents without having to question everything they say and ask it to do. How much beyond us is God compared with that? What is foolishness to God is greater than what is wisdom to us.

I'm not sure why you think that religion requires thoughtlessness. Perhaps you don't know much about any religion other than the one(s) that you have been exposed to. Typically, it is the extremist religions that require blind faith. Mine does not: in fact, the independant investigation of thruth is an obligation in my Faith. Perhaps you should look around.
