I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Depends on the kind of acne. If it's adult acne you need to get something specifically for it. Invest in a good 3 step treatment. I'm using the Loreal Acne response intensive acne peel. I only have to use it 2 - 3 times per week, so it's worth it. In between treatments, I use St. Ives medicated acne scrub and clearasil Ultra's acne eliminating toner. If you have sensitive skin get a toner without alcohol. Like Clean and Clear sensitive skin astringent. If your skin dries out too easily - like mine- invest in a good moisturizer like loreal future-E with spf 15. It doesn't make me breakout!! (miracle of all miracles!!)
If it isn't adult acne the best thing I ever used was Neutrogena oil-free acne wash followed up with Neutrogena multi-vitamin acne treatment. Always make sure no matter what type of acne you have that you get products with plenty of salicylic acid. Bonus if they have alpha hydroxy- because it promotes healthy cell renewal.
Now I've heard of a few HOME REMEDIES also. One of them is to crush up an aspirin and mix with water to make a paste - then apply to problem areas overnight so they will dry up and fade faster. Another one - and I've tried it - is to mix baking soda with a bit of water to make a paste and use as a face wash, but you will still need a decent astringent.
Also, hair conditioner is a HUGE pore clogger, so make sure you rinse well!!
I also know for a fact that no matter how many products, remedies, masks, whatever you try - they will NOT work if your pillowcase is dirty. Be sure to change it often. Try to refrain from touching your face too much. Wash your hands often.
Use non comedogenic everything makeup-wise.
Don't overwash your face, but also don't go to bed with makeup on.
exfoliate at least 2x a week! Wash face daily, but not more than twice daily.
Hopefully something in this answer will be helpful.
Good luck!

You need to go to a dermatologist and look into Accutane. It is not for all people but it does work. I speak from experience. You will have to have blood tests etc. It will cure the problem from the inside. Acne is caused by your sebacious glands producing too much oil and clogging your pores. You could try over the counter meds but my best suggestion would be to go to a dermatologist because it will not clear on its own. If you have it as bad as you say you will have it for the rest of your life if you don't treat it now. I hope this helps.

I suffered with Acne for years as a teen and the only solution that worked well for me was Proactive and Clinique makeup.
I tried millions home remedies, hemeroid cream, tea bags, I could list a hundred, but none worked as well as proactive.
Good luck to you!

Get ready for the answer:
Corn starch.
Yep. Before bed, rub cornstarch over your face (the powder, don't wet it). Rub it in so it absorbs into your skin a bit--so no you won't have a ghost-like face! Go to bed (beware you will get a bit of white powder on your pillow). In the morning wash off any left over residue. It dries up the acne and is totally natural.

a girl i knew who was into modeling gave me this regimen to follow:
start by washing your face in the morning, when you get home from school and before bedtime.....
morning and bedtime washings: wash face with dove facial soap...rinse....follow that by making a few suds in yr hand with the dove and adding 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of seasalt (you can buy this very cheaply where the sell salt in the grocery store), scrub yr face gently with the salt and suds mixture...rinse....follow this with an astrigent ( i used plain witch hazel as alchol is too drying)then us a (very light in yr case) moisturizer....
just a thing i did was i used astrigent BEFORE the scubbing because it it stung less......
after school washing; just use the dove facial soap...
good luck, it takes about a week or two before you really feel the difference!!!
