It can be nice. I work with a guy with long hair he looks like otto out of the simpsons. I think if its loked after sounds nice, its so nice to know a guy looks after himself...imaging what it says about you..you dont have greasy smelly hair and you are hygenic and obviosly caring about things.

I'm an old broad so my opinion won't mean much to you but here goes anyway. Over a century ago men used to wear their hair in a club which was tied back with a strip of leather. The resulting ponytail was about 6 inches long or slightly less. I think that looks good but hair like Fabio made popular just doesn't do a thing for me nor would it have 20 years ago.

I do not like long hair on men. Esp. if the mens hair is longer than the womens. Mens hair is not supposed to be flowing and long. It amazes me how many men opt to letting their hair grow considering the maintenance on a longer style. Unless you get those men who grow it long and dont take care of it and it gets all scraggily and nappy. eww....
To each their own, if you look better with a longer style then do so. I think that the hair should not get past the shoulder if you are going for a longer style.
To snaswer your question: My first reaction to reading your question is "Is he a metrosexual" "Why does he seems to do more and take more steps than I do on my hair" But some women may find it attractive to see a man take prode in his appearance

I don't mind long hair as long as:
1. It's kept shampooed, conditioned and trimmed on a regular basis.
2. You aren't balding on top and insist on having a ponytail.
3. You don't have thin, straggly hair and still insist on having a pony tail.
How would I know that you had used a flat iron?
Just use common sense. You seem a little preoccupied with this; relax. It's not that serious.

Clean cut looks better to me. When a man has long hair they seem vain and often do not allow themselves to do thing such as sports because they don't want their hair messed up. Probably because it took so long to get it the way they wanted it (blow drying, using hair products, using a flat iron).

If you want your hair long, then by god grow it long. It's up to you, who cares what anyone thinks. Some people like long hair and some dont. I, however, LOVE long hair on guys. (Depending though) My last boyfriend had really long hair that was somewhat curly. He never did anything to it though. Theres a guy at my work wiht long hair as well, but .. well.. its not pleasant. He always wears it in a low ponytail I dunnnoo...

When I see a guy with long hair it makes me think he's stuck in the 80's and any guy who uses too much product or takes more than a couple of minutes to do their hair is not manly enough for me. If he gets manicures and gets his eyebrows waxed, forget about it. Way to feminine for me.

i am a guy and i used to use a flat iron on my hair back in highschool....the girls had no problem with it then so i dont see why anyone would have a problem with it now...it just shows how you care about the way you look and you know how to take care of yourself...and girls like that....

It really depends. If the guy has a skinny face, then he might not look as good as if he had a normal face. The same goes with a guy with a fat face, u want a normal face (and you don't want it too long).
I don't think it takes away his masculinity.

a little long is alright, like maybe 1 or 2 inches past the hair line, but long long hair like a girl is a turn off to me (however I'm not one of those girls into rock or country either).
