Jack is my boyfriend of 2 years. He lives in Kansas City; I live in Fayetteville, AR. A couple of months ago I asked him to go to the Aerosmith concert in KC (I really wanted to go and would have paid for the ticktes), but he said "no". Now, 2 days before the concert he tells me someone is giving him a ticket, so he is going without me. I wanted to go with him; should I be as upset as I am?

Well, I think we've all been there before. Here's the deal- guys do things when the mood strikes them, and often, they don't think about how whatever they do is going to make someone else feel. Jack's not thinking about whether he hurt your feelings: in his mind, he's just going to a concert that didn't sound like a good idea when you brought it up, but then it suddenly did when his friend offered him a ticket. You may want to have a little talk with him, though, just to sort of let him know that it did hurt your feelings. Make sure you allow him to explain himself, and don't phrase it in an accusatory way- just be like, "You know, a couple of months ago when I wanted to take you to this concert, you didn't want to go. Is there any reason why you changed your mind?" I can totally understand why you're so upset, though, and I would be too. Just try to think about this incident based on what you knnow about your boyfriend. If he's not normally the type of guy who would deliberately hurt your feelings, he probably didn't mean to hurt them this time either.

Yes I would be

He didn't want to go with you that is why he said no when you asked him. But he is all for it when someone else gives him a ticket. I would seriously examine the relationship you have with him.

To me the behaviour is very suspect. Especially if he knows that you are not going to the concert. I wouldn't be surprised if its aanother girl giving him an extra ticket and he is going with her.

Tell him that you found some tickets and you want to join him in the festivities.

You just asked this, but yes, you should still be mad.

You should find someone that never says no to you in the first place.

**** yeah you should be pissed off. I would blacklist him if I were you - at least until he is deeply sorry. Don't let him off the hook exactly or you will regret it in the future.
