Some of you seem open to the idea that its true, you just haven't seen the data. Some of you think it's dead wrong, Have you seen these?

If you are so scientific, you'd know that the sample of your workplace is a far less valid sample than that represented in the study. What's thepoint of telling us what your workplace is like? I'm talking about the COUNTRY.

Its easy to give up to religion. To a "higher power". Its simple to blame an entity stronger than the self for the tragic and unexplained. Rather than educate, question and enquire, many would surrender to the ignorance of the common opinion. Again, its easy.

It's a good article. This is all a fairly recent trend, considering that Harvard, Princeton etc.. were all Christian schools. That Berkeley in the fifties sermons were given among professors. It could just be that because University professors tend to be more atheistic that students run through that mill end up thinking like their teachers than those that don't.

What I don't get is why it is an automatic assumption that if you are Christian you aren't or can't be educated. I have a master's degree in nursing, my father has a master's degree in electrical engineering and is the co-founder of one of the largest companies in the country. My son and daughter-in-law have degrees in business administration and own their own very successful business at 24 years of age. My whole family is educated at the bachelors level and above and we are all Christians. Belief in Christ does not equal ignorance simply because you don't belief like we do. One thing I have found here though is that this will always be a statement or a question in some form on this site. So here's a REALLY educated response,WHATEVER!!!!LOL

In my personal experience is more educated people are secular. I believe the reason for this is because they have come to rely on their own skills for achieving their goals. That does not mean all educated people are secular. I have just observed that the majority are. And we are talking about education not intelligence. Today in America there are many intelligent people locked out of higher education.

Left wing academics hardly ever believe in God. They are too arrogant. Left wing ideology is their religion. Of course there are exceptions, but if you look at the direction that some medical research has taken, for example, it would suggest to me a total lack of concern for any moral considerations. Three hundred and eighty thousand abortions in Britain alone each year. Left wing feminists have got a lot to answer for as well.

Do you speak from experience or just from the skewed, out dated data you present? It is skewed in that most of the polling is on college campuses (not the most statically neutral sample site).
I speak from experience. I'm in the scientific/engineering community. These are my colleagues. As stated previously, your premise does not hold up to the empirical data I have sampled in my community.

It is also noted that people tend to become more religious after they have children, and/or after they turn thirty. Why are only irresponsible, decadent young people anti-religious? Kind of convenient, isn't it?
Do you actually have a point?
