I wanted to put the sound speaker on my task bar but it said it wasn't installed. What do I install for it to be on there it doesn't say.

lepninja i did that and thats when it told me to add something for it to work and i looked at Device Manager and theres no question marks by any of them.

Install the driver for your sound card. It will show up then.

Right Click on My Computer and choose properties. Select the second tab - Device Manager. Look for exclamation marks etc here. You are then going to have to find out what sound card you have and install drivers for it.

If you go into the CONTROL PANEL and click on SOUNDS
There should be a checkbox that says something along the lines of "Show Volume Icon on Taskbar"
Check that box and you should be good to go.

sounds like your driver is missing. you need to get the driver. if you don't know what soundcard you have, use this program called EVEREST http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html which will tell you exactly what hardware you have in your pc including your soundcard so you can go download the right drivers.
