I may get emails from important clients that I'm not thinking about right now. I need to let them know.

If you notify the spammers, it only lets their software register your email addy as a 'live hit'.

just can 'em and forget 'em

Addendum:
In Outlook, add your allowed emailers to the 'safe senders' list.
It's the best way even though you have to wade through spam for a bit. You do already know who your clients are, so the job may already be half done for you.
Check your address book.

NO--- once you block a sender's handle----Yahoo will delete any destiny emails from that handle, and you will in no way see any of them------AND-----the sender isn't notified that they have been blocked, (for defense motives). they'll think of which you're nevertheless getting their emails--(which of direction you're no longer)--except you tell them in my view (and Yahoo advises to no longer try this).
