OHHHHH, my mom's are THE BEST!!!!!



4 cups white sugar
8 Tbls Cocoa
1 cup milk
2 sticks butter
6 cups OLD FASHIONED oats
1 cup eanut butter

Put first 4 in pot over medium heat, mix with a wisk until warm and at a very gently boil. Add peanut butter and wisk unitl melted. remove from heat, stir in oats and drop onto wax paper by the spoonfull.

No Bake Cookies
Ingredients:
1 stick of margarine
1 cup of Sugar
1/3 cup of milk
2 Tablespoons Spartan Cocoa
1 cup Peanut Butter
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
1-1/2 cups of quick oats

Instructions:
In a large microwave-safe bowl melt Margarine. Stir in cocoa, sugar, and milk until blended well, Microwave on high for 2 minutes (mixture should boil). Remove from Microwave and stir in vanilla and peanut butter until blended. Stir in Oats. * Place by rounded tablespoons on waxed paper until set

Make about 16 cookies
*Since Microwave oven vary you may need to stir in an extra handful of oats if mixture seem to be too loose. Cookies set if mixture is thicker.

Alternate Stove top method: PREPARATION:

NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE COOKIES
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup whole milk
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
3 cups rolled nuts
1 cup flaked coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mini marshmallows


Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper and set aside.

In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the sugar, milk, cocoa, and butter and stir to combine. Cook over high heat and bring to a boil. Allow to boil for 1 1/2 minutes, remove from heat, then add the oats, coconut, vanilla, and marshmallows and stir well to combine. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet and chill.

Makes 4 to 5 dozen.

If you ever lose the recipe, just go to the Quaker oatmeal web site. They have more than one version of the no bake cookies.

All these recipes are good but make sure you always USE BUTTER!!!! All margarine's contain water and different% of oils. So sometimes they will not harden and it can ruin your recipe. You can't go wrong with butter it's worth the extra money.
