Some people have really bad oral hygiene, but problems like cavities or gingivitis doesn't affect them. Why?

Perhaps their mouths are a less bacteria-friendly environment. Usually, people who don't brush accumulate acid-producing bacteria around their teeth which eventually eat holes in the enamel and cause tooth decay. I wouldn't recommend anyone trying to find out if they can get away with this, though!!! I would think they would still have bad breath and tartar build-up...

I would guess they don't care enough about themselves to realize that their mouth is one the most important parts of our body. We must take care of our teeth and gums because those are the only ones we will ever have. The fake teeth (dentures/partials/implants) will never be the same as the original. Think about that one.....

Might be their immunity. Might be their genetics. Have you wondered why people in India do not have diarrhoea all the time even when they are exposed to germs everyday? Every body's defence mechanisms are different.

oh trust me, it affects them. either it hasn't yet and their day will come, or it has and they just don't like to tell you about it. tooth decay and gum disease are inevitable if you have bad hygiene.
