I don't think there is a better. It is a matter of horses for courses and a preference for which culture you prefer. The two countires are so similair in so many ways it makes the differences stand out more readily, which of the cultural differences you prefer is merely a matter of which you are the most used to and which make you feel at home. Both countries enjoy a good standard of living so it would be the cultural differences which attract. I love the USA but my home and heart are in England and my country never fails to interest, intrigue and comfort me. I guess most people from both nations would say much the same thing.

I would say, having spent a lot of time in England, and the United States, Living in England is superior. I am American, but I enjoy the pace of life in England more. The people seem to be much more comfortable and not as hurried. There are days in the week when shops close because you're supposed to be spending time with your family instead of shopping to ease your anxiety. I don't know how best to put it, but I guess the only way is this this : America is 200+ years old, England has had much more time to develop and overcome the "growing pains" of any major empire.

Neither would be my first choice, but at least in England if you get sick without private insurance they don't drop you at the curb and leave you to die like in the USA.

I've never been to America, but given the way the Americans portray themselves (guns guns guns), and the way they're portrayed here (God God God), I'd much rather live in England.
