Unfortunately, it depends on the store. I've seen the dried variety in the spice aisle, ethnic aisle, and end aisles. If you want the oil-packed variety, probably near the olives and pickles.
Do what I do and just hunt down an employee and ask. Heh.
(And make pesto with the tomatoes...yum.)

sun dried tomatoes can usually be found near tomato sauce, tomato paste, tomato chucks in the can and etc... if not ask a person who works there because they will have to know where it is located and they are getting paid to help the customers.

It depends on the store. Generally, sun-dried tomatoes are in the produce section where the regular tomatoes are or in the Italian section.

I buy my sun dried tomatoes packed in olive oil. You will find them next to the olives and capers.

They are in the produce department in my store. If they don't have them out, I ask for them and they bring them from the back.
