He's 13---he still has some time left.......for now let him get expierence in both fields--he can take some law classes (they offer them at my high school) and he can help with your business. That way he can decide what he wants to do---but he will change his mind about a million times before he graduates--I know I did!!!! Just encourage him to keep his grades up b/c schools look at your freshman year grades just as hard as your grades senior year and if you slack off freshman year it is really hard to recover!! Hope I helped!

I am only guessing that what you mean by "where to send him" is that you have multiple career-aimed high schools to choose from.
When I was 13, I had many interests as well. (I actually think I wanted to be an astronaut. -That fell through.) I think your best option right now is to not choose a career path quite so soon. Let your son go to a regular school, experience regular things. Many young people "find themselves" or find out stregnths they never knew they had, in high school. Many community schools offer so many choices for study and extra-curricular activities. For instance, I found out that I had a rather good eye for photography my Sophomore year.
Your son is very young. There is a whole world of things he has the potential for than only construction or law. Don't commit his young mind to an entire future yet. Let him find out for himself. If his interest are still the same five years from now, you know what steps to take. For now, let him be a kid.
There is a big difference between interests and passion.

unless your child has an unbridled interest in something (like ever sense he was little ..he was building stuff and thats only thing he likes to do )...dont send your 13 year old into any certain school... And dont force your son to be something he doesnt want to. IF he wants to be a engineer or something than great...but he's 13...give him a chance to explore... What if he wants to be a musician or journalist or a teacher? I hope you would respect that and let him do what makes him happy. Its fine you want to expose your kid to what you guys love to do but ...come on..he's 13... he's WAY to young to be be set in stone about a career right now. Just let him go to a normal highschool...make friends..grow up..and find his own enjoyment

Why not let him decide for himself when he gets older? At that age kids are usually interested in a lot of things.

If you have a business and want your son in it, then by all means, send him to business school or college to obtain his MBA. He can then help you business to prosper.
