Think the immigration controls need to be firm but fair - like in Holland for example - but as for Britain being a White Mans Land - then no it would be no better or worse -
there are good and bad in all races - we have big issues facing this country at the moment - what is needed is the realisation that decent people share common ideals - look at the asian communities that stand up and drive prostitutes out of their neighbourhoods - can't see white communities having the guts to do that - I support them in that - but thats just one example.
We shouldn't be afraid to discuss race - but lets accept that the common denominator is not race but decency, goodness and courage. With a little tolerance on all sides we can live perfectly happily.
A thought provoking question!

A far worse place. A society based on hate and restrictions, not on freedom and tolerance.
You can mention such things in 2006, I'm just surprised that anyone can seriously answer the question, unless their motive is provoking a reaction.

I accept as true with you that they are combating an occupying tension. this might't be seen as terrorism. there is one ingredient that i ought to show. Wow, this one is loaded with dynamite.
Shortly after world war 2 we had quite an invasion of West Indians which upset loads of people. However, they and their descendants have integrated very well into the British society so everybody's fears were unfounded as far as they were concerned.
However, the current situation where we appear to be getting inundated with immigrants from Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East is of great concern to the vast majority (as far as I can gather from personal contacts) of ethnic British people. It really is quite out of hand, and is of special concern when it appears that the incomers wish us to change to conform to their religion, style of dress or whatever instead of themselves adopting our laws and accepting our beliefs.
I feel strongly on this subject, but had better leave it there.

my opinion is that it would be worse as the thing i like about the UK how the diversity of the different cultures opens your eyes to how different races live within the British culture (if that makes sense!) and the majority of them welcome people of other faiths/beliefs/cultures to either try or witness their practices in order to live as one nation. But you would always have that ever present prejudice hovering regardless of if the UK was all white - it's part of some peoples ideals

Well for one the UK's top dish wouldn't then be curry and chinese and honestl culturally it wld be boring bcos there's hardly anything dynamic to do except go out drinking and celebrate christmas.

well i hear that most of your nurses and doctors are foreign-born so that would be trouble for the NHS.
and what about your engineers and IT people?
