Make an "Oatmeal Bar" little dishes of trail mix, mini marshmallows, brown sugar, peanut butter chips, squeeze jelly, etc. Make if fun, you could also try a cream of wheat instead. There is also the Muslix option: 3 c. oatmeal
1 c. Oat Bran
1 c. Grape Nuts
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. almonds (or other nut)
10 tsp. brown sugar

Mix ingredients together and store in airtight container.
Add 1/4 cup to plain or sweet yogurt let sit overnight for a breakfast treat or cook as you would oatmeal.
It could be her tastes have changed an none of this will work, there is always Cheerios and other oat based cereals if you are concerned about cholesterol.

Have you tried oatmeal raisin cookies? You could also try to sneak 1/4 c or 1/2 c into chocolate chip cookies too. I just use the tollhouse recipe and substitute or look on the back of the oatmeal box. I have found that if you substitute that you need to add a little extra moisture like a Tbs. of butter or margerine in the beginning or to add a small amount of apple sauce( 1-2 Tbs) when you add your eggs.

Cinnamon, brown sugar, and bits of fruits that he likes are great and tasty tricks.

Oatmeal is healthy, but it doesn't mean we can get our loved ones to eat it. I've had to be sneaky to get my husband to eat oatmeal, so I made oatmeal cookies with raisins, using applesauce and splenda instead of sugar and whole wheat flour and a some vitamin fortified bran cereal. He has them with a glass of skim milk.

He loves them and doesn't know any better, and though cookies aren't the first thing I'd recommend for breakfast...I know that if he's eating those oatmeal cookies then he is not clogging his arteries with a mcBreakfast.

I wouldn't MAKE a kid eat oatmeal because there are so many options for meals. But, you might try this. Buy his favorite jelly in one of those squeeze bottles and let him draw a happy face on top of the oatmeal -- to replace any other sugar you would have put in it.

Maybe try to find it in a flavor that he likes...there are lots of options these days. But, he may have developed an aversion to the texture of it though. I know lots of people who won't eat oatmeal because they don't like how it feels in their mouth. If that's the case you may not be able to get him eat it at all.

Make the real oatmeal you cook over the stove. It's way better than the instant by far. Then sweeten it with brown sugar, maple syrup and/or fruit such as strawberries, blueberries or bananas. My kids love it!

Make oatmeal cookies!
Or put jelly or preserves in a piping bag (or a ziploc bag with tip cut off) and let him decorate his own, make sure you tell him before hand that what he decorates he eats. If it is something he created, he more likely to eat it!

Try it with raisins, cinnamon, and make it with milk not water. Remember the sugar, thats the best part. Putting half a banana before microwaving is a sure way of having him eat it.

Give him a choice of things to put in it. I used to give my little girl
a few dishes with such things as chocolate chips, raisins, etc. I learned very quickly not to put too many chocolate chips in the
dish as she would dump them all into the oatmeal.
