We are a middle class American family. I get my hair cut at Hair Cuttery for $13 and give a $7 tip for a total of $20. I don't get a blow dry because I don't want to sit in the chair that long and I usually don't like the way they style it anyway. My daughter who is grown and makes a middle class income also got her hair cut this week end. She also got her hair colored and highlighted. It looks beautiful. However, she spent $212 PLUS TIP for these services. She thinks I'm crazy. I think she is crazy. (We both know we're both a little crazy.) The question is: WHO'S CRAZIER????

A beautiful cut & color costs money! & if you want a well-known stylist to work his magic on you then a couple hundred dollars is the average price! Neither of you are crazy. It's just a personal opinion and choice.

Your daughter is crazier!! Who in their right mind would pay over $200 dollars to get your hair done. I get my hair colored and cut and styled and it only costs me around $80 and that to me is a little expensive.

An amazing cut and color cost money. For example I usually spend what your daughter does for my hair and absoultly love it every time. Last week I got my hair done for for much cheeper and it looks like **it!! I was just on here last week complaining that I dont have blonde hair anymore its orange... So shes not crazy!

I think you're daughter would be the crazier one. Who needs all that color stuff done, seriously?

i dunno...it really depends on each of your values...some people think that spending more means that it will end up looking better, while others think the total opposite...so if your daughter is really into her hair she'll spend more on it
