I have met a gorgeous guy on the net, he lives in Italy me in the UK. Never done this sort of thing before...can these things work out?? Can he be for real??

I have met ex husband on the internet. People you talk to over the net are real people like anyone else. If the relationship develops over the internet (through distance) just remember one thing: not so much for being bad, but out of instinct itself, people will just say the best things about themselves. Be aware that internet will never replace 'real' life when it comes to getting to know the person on every day life and seeing the small details.
I would just say try to meet the person if you can. Take the standard safe measures you would take with any other 'stranger' and dont commit until you have gotten to know the person for real.

Yeah. There are a lot of honest people out there, but the net got some bad publicity because of some rare cases, but don't this to heart, he may or may not be lying. Just be careful and take your time.

Be very careful. How do you know he is gorgeous, he could be anyone. I know someone else who thought they had met the perfect woman on the net. He travelled to see her, and nearly puked. She had been sending someone elses photo to him, and was nothing like she had told him. He spent the entire evening regretting travelling to see her, and was out of there first thing next morning. Big mistake.

i met my partner in a chat room we chatted for hours everyday for 2 weeks til i finally got the courage to ask her to meet. that was 6 months ago and we recently got engaged.... so u see these things can work out jus be careful. spend some time chatting to him and ask him to web came so u can make sure he is who he says he is... there are alot of weirdos out there!!! good luck babe

well a long distance relationship is not very likely to last. he could be for real but then you can never really tell. well if your looking for a bit of fun then go for it
