I agree that we are an island with limited space. Other countries have the space and money to build new cities - maybe another Las Vegas in the middle of the Nevada desert with a China town, Balti belt etc. But, I have friends around the world in every country and I like some more than some British people. I would welcome some coming here - to earn money to take home and improve their lives. But generally speaking we can help people in their own countries rather than have economic emigration here. Refugees and people escaping political persecution could go to new cities built in the USA, India, Australia - such cities with political will and a 10 year tax free period to kick start them would attract International Investment and be able to take all the refugees and eventually contribute to the country they were in. The argument that President Bush currently spouts for cutting welfare is erroneous too - that in 2030 there will be no young to support the elderly population. People use this argument to say we need young immigrants. But In 2030 long after Bush is gone - we will have super-computers and robots to do the work that young people do today. But I doubt if George W Bush can press the nuke button - hopefully not anyway - let alone understand computers and robotics.

The only thing English about Britain is the language and even then there is Scots Gaelic, Irish and Welsh. No are you telling me England has its own culture? Would that be the Mc Donalds, MTV, The Simpsons, Walmart, Hip Hop, US music, Hollywood movies. Face it - Britain is multi cultural. You take most of your culture from the US and then complain when people of a different colour come to your country. You are simply a racist little tw*t. And then when you go to other countries you hope and pray that they speak English and virtually expect it of them. If you were to go to china you certainly wouldn't be speaking a dialect of Chinese. In Spain the sum language ability of English tourists is "Hola, a beer por favor!" Listen to yourself mate.

And as for Oklahoma girl. So what if the language was spanish. There are more spanish speakers in the US than English speakers. The fact is that the US was colonised by the French, English Dutch, Germans, and had an original indigenous population that didn't speak English. Why not try learning Spanish? Just because you speak English and the majority of White Middle Class idiot Americans also do doesn't mean that everyone else should. You are from an imigrant family. Don't forget that when you criticise other cultures. How many generations does it take to make you a true American? Simple fact is that you will never be one. You are a colonist!

The fact is that there are too many racist idiots posting idiotic questions here.

Since the Celts wiped out the true indigenous people of the British Isles, there are no indigenous people of Britain!

All British people are the descendants of immigrants. You included. So why don't you bugger off back to the steplands of the caucausus or wherever your ancestors came from?

Your too late, Britain has already become a Multicultural society where many indigenous people enjoy being a part of other cultures, just like people from other cultures enjoy being a part of the existing one that was here 50+ years ago.

did you hear about the hiking trips round the lake district that were closed down because not enough ethnic minorities were using the service. That to me is the ultimate insult, if I was told that because not enough black, asian or indian people didnt visit my shop so it will be closed down. I dont know what I would do.

How come all these asylum seekers come to england seeking asylum when Great Brittan is a bleedin ISLAND, how many countries do they have to travel through to get here. What is wrong with the rest of europe? - oh wait I just remembered, the rest of europe puts their own citizens first, not the scrounging b@stard$ that think they can just walk in to our country and get free housing, car, startup money and then sit on their @rse and claim dissability with 13 childeren that us the tax payer has to support.

In 1745 the UK army disbanded the clan system in Scotland.. Shortly after in USA, the army broke up the tribal system. Democracy eventually flourished even if we had to fight for it. Both countries had open door policies for centuries and all were welcomed who wanted cut ties with their past. They came to live and ENJOY freedom with every INDIVIDUAL given opportunity to prosper. Now, in the UK, we are back full circle. The Muslim tribe is revolting ( in both senses ). They want to stifle our freedom to do, say and be what WE want and ARE. Nobody is going backwards at any price. If they don't love our free way of life go backwards to Mecca and enjoy Saudi Tribal Law. If that TRIBE went home to Mecca, the church bells would ring to high heaven

If all of you so called Brits are sick of this government and sick of immigrants being in this country, then leave here because the true natives of this country are the Celts. I'm only too sure that they would bid all of you, who are descendants of the Saxon's, Norman's and Romans a good farewell as you are so bigoted especially as I have pointed out, that your forefathers were also immigrants.

very true. Look at how the aussies deal with it. They really speak that mind with immigration. I think people have a level of tolerance. You are not born liberal or far right. situations and experiences change your opinions and a lot of people in the uk are being pushed to far. One example: 7/7. I went to univeristy in a northern town with a lot of very liberal students. By the end of three years even the liberals were practically signing up for the BNP. Everyone has their limit!

I have not been to Great Britain in a while. All you have to do is hop a flight to the USA to see how bad the situation is.

I live in the middle of the United States in a place called Oklahoma. I went to the store here yesterday and they made the store announcements in Spanish first then in English.

I do not believe that it is a racist opinion that you would like to preserve your borders, language and culture.

It is an abomination here, I hope that you are taking control of the problem there before it gets as bad as it is here in the states
