Believing in God doesn't mean that Evolution didn't take place - and you say he died believing in God but you don't say that he denied his theory was correcet - and just as well, because he didn't. If Darwin disproved his theory you also give no details - you must have been at his death bed while he whispered it in your ear because nobody else knows about this scoop. I thought it was only backward Americans in the Bible Belt who were still saying Evolution is wrong - but it looks like they're not. You're clearly an extreme Religioso who probably still thinks that the Earth is at the centre of everything, and that the Spanish Inquisition was a good thing. I don't think it's all your fault - I mean, you are obviously quite stupid for not making the effort and trying to find the truth - but I think you listen to too many old/backward people who don't know anything about anything and yet want to impose their views on the world. You need to use that brain, not sit on it because it looks bad for you and people will not respect you when they see you talking like a dunce. get out of the Middle Ages and join the modern world or you will forever be another ignorant peasant.

Whether Darwin believed in God has absolutely nothing to do with his scientific views on evolution. People of every possible religious background, including millions of devout Christians, are not afraid to accept the obvious evidence for biological evolution. No true belief can conflict with any other true belief. The reason some "Christians" are so hell-bent on disproving evolution is that they are insecure about their own beliefs. They have already decided what they want to believe, and now they can't let mere facts get in the way, because acknowledging the facts will demonstrate that some of the beliefs they have manufactured from their personal interpretations of the Bible are simply wrong. Pride overrides common sense, and they refuse to look honestly at scientific evidence, seemingly because they know deep down that doing so will bring them to a crisis of faith. Other Christians, whose beliefs are truly in accord with the truth of the Bible, don't fear truth from other sources, because they know that truth cannot conflict with truth.

just because a scientist believe in god doesn't mean they don't believe in evolution. When I was christian I believed in evolution. It's important for you to note that the original theory of evolution is no longer used since the study of DNA and a few other things came about.

The Creationist argument stating that life is to complex to have been some sort of cosmic accident still doesn't address the question of what or who created the creator. The creationist argument does not solve its initial objection to evolution because it only begs the question of who created the creator? The creationist theory is not science and is philosophically and empirically inferior to the theory of evolution. Even the spaghetti god argument is better than creationism, it uses the same basis of reasoning while giving a reason for not being able to detect this creator's presence.

Einstein died at 1:15 AM in Princeton hospital in Princeton, New Jersey, on April 18, 1955 at the age of 76 from internal bleeding, which was caused by the rupture of an aortic aneurism, leaving the Generalized Theory of Gravitation unsolved. The only person present at his deathbed was a hospital nurse, and any rumors about a deathbed conversion are completely and totally false. He was cremated without ceremony on the same day he died at Trenton, New Jersey, in accordance with his wishes. His ashes were scattered at an undisclosed location.

Why is it that christians must lie about people to make their own cult beliefs have value?

You give too much credit to Darwin. The theory of evolution first appeared over 500 years before christ. It is scientific fact. The more science learns, the more certain the fact of evolution becomes. During the (well named) dark ages, the bible was accepted as accurate. People studied the bible to calculate the age of the earth, and of course they were totally wrong. Why doesn't the bible mention the dinosaurs? Read about what happens when people believe the bible.

Actually, the reports that Darwin repented on his deathbed are based on the word of one "close friend" of his... who as far as anyone can tell, never even met him, and who was definitely not present at his deathbed as legend claims. Darwin's own autobiography proclaims him an Agnostic, and his family (including his wife, who was Christian) repeatedly stated that he did not, in fact, recant at any point in his life.

As for Darwin disproving his theory before he died, the fact is that no one HAS managed to disprove it. It remains the most logical explanation for the evidence we have about the origins of our ecosystem, and requires far fewer leaps of faith than creationism.

Einstein was not ever a Christian, although he was deeply religious. He was born a Jew, and had a deep respect throughout his life for the Jewish ideal of questioning one's faith in order to find the truth and thereby growing closer to God, but he did not believe in God as an individual - rather, religion to him was a sense of wonder and awe for creation.

Before you try putting words in the mouths of dead men, you might consider reading the words they left behind instead of relying on rumor and hearsay from people who have a personal stake in the matter.

I believe in evolution because the theory is testable, and is supported by an overwhelming body of evidence. I don't believe in your god because there is no way to test whether he exists, and the only evidence is 1 book that conflicts itself and inspires some of its followers to attack their neighbors, keep slaves, and oppress women.

Please cite a source for your claims about Darwin, and also for just 3 major well-known scientists. Einstein can be one of them, if you choose. I'd like to see a specific quote that says the scientist believes in the existence of a god, not something like Einstein's quote that "god doesn't play dice with the universe".

No, it's not a fact. And Einstein was a physicist, not a biologist or palentologist.

Would you let your barber do open heart surgery? Then why should you care what Einstein may or may not have said about evolution?

The overwhelming majority of scientists on this planet support the FACT of evolution, even though we're not entirely sure about a few details of the THEORY of evolution.

No.. it isn't. He never disproved his own theory, it was only RUMORED that he converted to christianity by one lone (and quite biased) person. Do your homework next time.

"The report about Darwin's change of heart comes from one person, Lady Hope, an energetic Nineteenth Century Christian, while many members of Darwin's family denied it and there is nothing from Darwin's friends, colleagues, his own statements or writings to substantiate it. If Darwin did experience something so dramatic as a conversion to Jesus Christ and a complete revision of the theory of evolution that characterized his life and work, there isn't a shred of evidence of it outside of the claims of Lady Hope."

Edit: "have i ever offended any of you?" Absolutely. I find lies and ignorance terribly offensive. You came here claiming something as "fact" without even bothering to see if this "fact" was reliable or not. Shame on you.

Sorry, it's not true that Darwin "disproved his own theory before he died". You're believing propaganda.

You should ask why anti-evolutionists are willing to be so dishonest in defense of their claims. Why would any honest, decent person side with that kind of dishonesty?

Later - He believed in the theory. You're still repeating dishonest propaganda. Go talk about something you know something about. You're making Christians look like liars.
