Wow, this is making me have sugar cravings. . .
Do you keep it shut tight away from air? Try using one of those machines that vacuum seal the food so no air gets in. You can also do what I do, you can microwave each serving piece individually before serving just to make it hot enough to melt the marshmellows again. This way it tastes like fresh homemade again.
Unfortunately the ones in the store, if you read the ingredients, have lots of nice tasting chemicals that make them gooey and last 2 million years.
But I am sure yours is better tasting!

If I understand your question correctly, you're saying the treats get hard over time.
Keep them in an airtight container - or squeeze the air out of your plastic bag, and keep them on the counter.

the temperature you're cooking the marshmallows at is too high, its causing the sugar inside to carmalize and make them hard.
next time be patient with the lowest setting on your stove and allow that to melt your marshmallows :)
i also suggest you put mini marshmallows with your rice krispies, then mix with the melted and it will make little patches of gooyness :)

You are probably just not storing them right. Airtight is the key. Don't just put them on a plate a cover them with saran wrap and never refrigerate them. Leave them on the counter in a gallon size ziploc bag, with the air squeezed out, or an airtight container. That's what I do and mine are gooey to the last bite. Hope this helps.

I had this problem once; I used generic marshmallows instead of a name brand. And if that's not the problem, I agree with the person who said you are using too high a temperature to melt the marshmallows.

try more butter. Also keep them tightly covered. When you leave them out they lose moisture and get hard. try splashing a little water and popping one in the microwave for a few seconds. That usually softens them up a bit.

Well if you have noticed it tend to sock up the whole water and then it dries up.if you want them soft you should make them at the exact time when you know that he will be ready to eat them. The does not really matter whether hot or cold.

Place a couple of bread slices over the entire batch. This works with cookies as well.
