Pretty soon the bible says that the government will do away with the churches. A real seperation of church and state.
The bible says, an amazing event will take place. “The ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. Rev 17:16 In a sudden, shocking move, the world’s political powers will turn on false religion and completely destroy her! What will prompt this action? The bible book of Revelation answers: “God put it into their hearts to carry out his thought.” Rev. 17:17
Yes, God will call false religion to account for all the despicable acts she has committed in his name.
In a stroke of perfect justice, he will use her political paramours as his instrument of execution.
What must you do if you do not want to share the fate of false religion? “Get out of her, my people.” urges god’s messenger. Rev 18:4 Indeed, now is the time to flee from false religion! But to where can you flee?
Not into atheism, since its future is also bleak. [2 Thessalonians 1:6-9]
The only haven is within true religion. How can you identify true religion?

Absolutely not! All you have to do is take a quick look at the history of religion to know that the simple act of separating church and state was a stroke of pure genius! It gave everyone the freedom to worship, or not, without threat of death. No more Papal armies! No more Papal hit squads! This is a VERY GOOD thing!
I am Wiccan. Our history is filled with murder and bloodshed at the hands of the Catholic Church. I would NEVER want to go back to a time when the church could wield political power. No!

The separation of church and state are a ruling by the Supreme Court and not in the constitution. Yes, I would like to do away with this law made by the Supreme Court. I am a Christian, a member of the church of Christ.
The separation of church and state would have no bearing on any certain religion. It would give responsibilities for religions they do not now have. Religious organizations would pay their fair share of the taxes just as any other group that has banks, rentals and other business holdings.

What do you mean do away with it? Since we don't have it already as yet. Yes, Because religious beliefs were part of what our Constitution was founded on.That would give government a larger control of church activities. For example, if a church wanted to fire their pastor because he taught something clearly not scriptrual, then the government would step in and tell the church to either keep him or close the doors
By having a complete separation of church and state will constitute a State controlled enviroment that can arrest ministers, church members, and individuals that don't go along with world events and cultural activities that churches nowadays can disagree about, for the present.

Hard questions. I think the separation is there for our own good and I'm A CHRISTIAN, the reason being is that I don't want there to be some mandated religion for me to follow that is against my belief in Jesus Christ. I don't want to have to sign up for financial aid and be forced into taking a class on "how to practice pagan rituals." If you do away with the separation then you have to also do away with the "freedom" of speech admendment. They all go hand in hand.

No, I would not willingly do away with the separation of church and state. I am atheist and if they ever broke that barrier, than all my rights will disappear.

I'm an unbeliever, somewhere between an ignostic (with an "i") and an atheist. And I think the separation of church and state is absolutely necessary for everyone to have their freedom guaranteed.

I'm Mormon.
No, we should not do away with the separation of church and state. As much as I would like it if people would all convert to Mormonism, I wouldn't like it very much if everyone HAD to convert. And that's what state sponsored religion is. It's a convert or die proposition.
