Im starting to get a feeling this is going to be a great fight and not the one sided massacre that everyone is predicting. Am i the only person thinking this.

Santana - I know that you know your boxing and i like you agree that Baldomir was handpicked because they think it is an easy win for their boy but i am just starting to think that they have underestimated him, i cant see Fraud stopping him. I also cant see Baldomir taking a backwards step in the fight so i think he is gonna get chances if he can somehow cut that ring off we might be in for one of the biggest shocks of alltime.
Am i just clutching at straws just hoping to see him get beat.

In my opinion, Extremely one sided. This is why Team Mayweather chose Baldomir. How else can they go around spouting off that "Floyd is the best Pound for Pound fighter in the world"? I'm praying to the boxing God's that somehow Floyd has a way off night and Carlos knocks him on his a** but I don't think that will happen.
Carlos is the naturally bigger man a theoretically the harder puncher but he really doesn't possess the body attack required to beat a fighter like Floyd. Floyd is made for a left-hook to the body, particularly the liver. Floyd turns his whole left side to his opponent dropping his left arm completely and tucking his chin into his left shoulder. Every fighter that I've seen Floyd up against has always tried o pop shots off of Floyd's head, but the way he tucks it and rolls with the punch it's very difficult to hit him with a solid head shot. The body's the key to a victory over Floyd.
Antonio Margarito or Oscar De La Hoya have the right ingredients to beat Floyd the same way Julio Cesar Chavez had Floyd's Uncle Rogers number when they fought. There's nothing certain in boxing except for a A** Whipping and a hard time, so Carlos does have a shot, since he does have a punch but unfortunately for fight fans, it's a long shot.
Thanks for the question Frank.

I really don't see Carlos taking any backward steps either, I don't believe Floyd has the power to knock Baldomir out but, I think Floyd will be sharp with his punches and he just might swell Carlos up enough to have the Ref/Doctor stop the fight due to swelling and or cuts. He takes way too many punches. I would love to see Carlos pull out yet another upset, it would be right up there with (in my opinion) Douglas over Tyson. Like I wrote above Baldomir has a punchers chance and heck, I'll take that over a fighter who acts like a fool in the ring any day. Baldomir deserves his props for everything he has accopmlished in the past few years, I hope for fans as well as boxing, he can pull off another one.

I also think this will be a good fight. Mayweather has never fought anyone like Baldomir. Baldomir hits very hard and it's almost impossible to hurt the guy. Mayweather is very fast but if Baldomir can connect I think a lot of people will be surprised by the outcome

I don't see Baldomir beating Floyd. That's too bad I am not a fan of Mayweather. It's not so much his trash talking but comparing yourself to Ali and Robinson as one of the greats irks me. Especially when the quality of competition is no where near what both those men fought. I don't see Floyd knocking out Baldomir. I am going to pick an unconventional ending. I think Baldomir will fight an exceptional fight, at times confuse Floyd, by not following him to the ropes and mounting a fairly good body attack (something he is not known for). But Floyd's speed will be a little too much, and he will win a split decision.

Floyd is going to give the guy a boxing lesson. He has a MAJOR edge in speed and ring skills. Baldomir is a tough guy and I think it would be a stretch to say that he will get knocked out but watch the way Floyd handled Gatti and then watch the Gatti-Baldomir fight. Gatti was faster than Baldomir and hit him with a lot of big punches but he couldn't hurt him enough to keep him off. Floydis 3, 4 times faster and will hit Baldomir with 3,4,5 shots and by the time Baldomir can react he will be out of harm's way. I see this going the distance but I see it being a boxing clinic for Floyd. The only chance Baldomir has is if Floyd gets dumb and tries to knock him out or he gets in the proverbial lucky shot.

Baldomir is too slow. He won't get knocked out so it will be a 12 round boxing clinic from Mayweather. Although, I would expect Baldomir to connect on a few big punches to make it thrilling.

I think baldomir has the kinda style to defeat mayweather. I hope that he has the stamina to do it though. To defeat a fast counter puncher like floyd u need to punch at the same time he does. If baldomir does that and keeps pressure on him nonstop he could walk with the win. Castillo did it on the first fight , which i think he won. So in my opinion , i think Baldomir has a very good chance. If he sticks to his plan.

No Frank you aren't. I think that Baldomir has a shot in this fight. I get the feeling that Floyd may be taking him lightly. If Baldomir can mount an aggressive body attack and not follow him to the ropes he may be able to throw off Floyd's rhythm. This could be a very interesting fight.

Im not a fan of his, but I love watching Mayweather.
He is by far the most talented fighter in the game.
He wants that WBC belt, and who wouldnt want it
(by far the most highly looked upon belt in all of boxing)
He will fight smart, and will outbox Baldomir.
Baldomir is a brawler, simple as that,
and Mayweather is a genius in the ring which means he wont brawl until he knows he has worked him down enough to go and finish him. I give it to Mayweather by a late TKO or a Decision.
